This marked the third collaboration between Heliplanners and HDR's Dallas office. The project owner requested a rooftop helistop for use in transporting patients to its new cardiovascular specialty hospital in Austin. Heliplanners assisted the HDR team with planning, design and permitting issues for this helistop designed to accommodate aircraft as large as the Bell 412, the aircraft then being operated by Star Flight, Travis County's publicly-owned air medical transport agency.
